Altitudo Amoris is a menswear collection inspired by the film Blue Valentine, focusing on a side of love that’s often overlooked: frustration. It’s not about the extraordinary, but about what happens in the everyday—what’s real—when things stop working. From that place, the proposal seeks to translate this feeling through textures that reflect what frustration looks and feels like. The color palette also comes from something literal, taken directly from a specific scene in the film. Everything is designed to build an intimate and visceral visual language.

NARRATIVE/CONCEPT
At the beginning, everything in the relationship seems to flow calmly. There is harmony, understanding, and a shared sense of peace. But as time passes, that tranquility starts to fade. Although the love remains, something begins to feel different. Small frustrations arise, heavy silences, and a confusing feeling of being tangled in thoughts and emotions that are hard to name. They both love each other, but also wonder what is going wrong.
In this same vein, this concept will be reflected through contrasting textures. On one hand, smooth surfaces evoke that initial apparent calm; on the other, textured, raised surfaces allude to the emotional entanglement that develops over time. The silhouettes will be fitted, conveying the sensation of being trapped, and materials like linen, drill fabric, and poplin will be used to give structure and character to the collection.
